2nd grade students at Northpoint are studying the lifecycle of butterflies. As of this morning, they had one caterpillar left, about a dozen have already formed a chrysalis, and one has already transformed into a butterfly! We’ll share an update when more spread their wings and are released into nature 🦋🦋🦋. Great job, Northpoint! #PHMExcellence

ATTN Parents: All students who participated in the Free and Reduced-Price Meal program during the 2024-2025 school year are granted a 30-day grace period for 2025-26. The last day for benefits is September 30th, 2025 for all who have not submitted a new application and been approved for this school year.

Families who have not applied for and received a new 2025 eligibility letter by October 1, 2025, will no longer be eligible for Free and Reduced Meals.

To ensure uninterrupted benefits, please complete and submit a new application as soon as possible. Applications can be submitted online at schoolcafe.com or you may contact your child's school to send home a paper application.

Please remember that applying for the Free and Reduced program after September 30th won't remove any charges that were on your child's account before your application was submitted and approved.

The much loved Culver's Bus Driver of the Month program is back and the first winner will be announced at the end of September! Do you have a favorite bus driver this year? If so, nominate them here -> phmexcellence.com/PHMBusDriverNomination

Not a bus rider? That's okay ... from athletic events to field trips, almost every student utilizes a P-H-M bus at some point, if a driver has made a positive impression on you, be sure to nominate them!

Yesterday at Walt Disney, teachers engaged in professional learning around "The Comprehension Playbook", written by Kristina Smekens. The training provided practical, research-based strategies for teaching reading comprehension through mini-lessons and engaging classroom activities.

This is a great example of P-H-M educators investing in themselves to strengthen our culture of #PHMExcellence!

💡Teamwork + creativity = some impressive engineering at Discovery Middle School!

8th grade math students were challenged to build the tallest free-standing structure using only 30 index cards and 12 inches of tape. After 30 minutes of brainstorming, designing, and building, the winning tower stood an incredible 41 inches tall! 🙌📏

Way to go, Discovery students — problem-solving and collaboration at its best! 👏 #PHMExcellence

In their latest project, students explored line, pattern, and color by designing bold stick figures and filling them with warm or cool color palettes. The result? Bright, unique works of art inspired by master artists.

A huge thank-you to our teachers, parent volunteers, and PTO for making this program possible and for keeping the arts thriving in our schools! 💛🖤 #PHMExcellence
